A Story of Shadows – Recording demos for the first album. Day 1.

While Doreen was making crepes in the kitchen, we all three (Do, Julian and I) started to work seriously on the music for the album. We worked on “Story of the small affairs”, which was based on a little acoustic piece I made in 2003 called “The small affairs”. We used this piece of music as an intro, this time played on the bass. For the demo we recorded simultaneously the bass and the drums, and then overdubed guitars (a rythm one on the 7-strings played by Julian and a lead one played by me), and keyboards. Julian came up with a great strange keyboard sound for the verses, and I sang some melodies for the vocals. This is all turning into a very Tool like piece of music.
